Crochet Paradise

Just fiddling around and came up with this pattern.  I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

Made with Vanna White’s yarn, this pattern is from the Crochet Jan 09 issue.  I altered the bottom of the sleeves and gave them a little flare.

I gave this to my aunt for Christmas, she loved it.  It just shows the middle.  The ends have 3 poinsettas on them.  I tweaked the pattern a little .

My mom needed this set made, and she chose Bernat Softee for the yarn.  The pattern is from Layettes For Baby.  We chose little heart shank buttons.  I did change the final row of the border, using a sc, hdc, dc in every 4th stitch.  There is also a picture of 2 more of the hooded scarfs my mom needed made.

This pattern is from the Nov/Dec 07 issue of Crochet Today, just 1 of the 6 I’ll be making.  It works up quickly, and I think it is an easy pattern.

I have been working on several projects, but what else is new.  I finished the rug a week ago, and finished the sweater today.  The rug is made with Lion Brand Suede yarn and I used a doubled ended hook stitch, no pattern for it.  The sweater is from the Jan 08 issue of Crochet magazine.  Still have several more items on the hook, will finish at least one soon, I hope.

Yesterday I picked up my items.  I entered 32 projects, and won 28 ribbons.  They had so many pretty wearables this year, but I still managed to get some blue ribbons in those categories.  The final total was 17 1st place, 5 2nd place, and 6 3rd place.  Some of the items I got ribbons for at Shippensburg, I did better at Ag Expo, and some I didn’t do as well, but I’m happy.  Below the picture you will find the link for Ag Expo Slideshow.

These are just 4 of the numerous items I’ve completed since my last post.  I just haven’t been taking the time to take pics.  Will try and get a few more on Monday.

I finally got around to putting the big snaps on this outfit.  The pattern didn’t come with booties, so I whipped up my own.
