Hearts and Holly Christmas Stocking

This was from an Annie’s Attic pattern.  I decided to make it all red, and to leave the holly off of the cuff as its for a little girl’s first Christmas.  I think I might get some ribbon yet to dress it up, what do you think?

Hooded Baby Afghan

I made this off the label from Lion Brand Pound of Love.  It works up very quickly and is such a nice pattern.  I used 1 ball of novelty yarn for the border just to dress it up a bit.

Happy Thanksgiving

I had a wonderful time today.  We went to my sister’s house early so I could help get the meal ready.  We had spent all day Monday baking the cookies.  Of course its always nice when you have a holiday that brings the family together around the table.  I have to admit I did eat a little too much, but don’t we all.

Meeting a Friend

Last week was so hectic with running but oh the weekend was beautiful.  I finally got to meet a friend that I met 3 yrs ago on Pogo.  She is a crocheter and knitter just like myself, and only lives 1 1/2 hrs away.  Yes I know that isn’t  a long drive why didn’t we meet before,  I can’t answer that.  Anyway my parents and my hubby and I met Geri and her hubby and 2 of her daughters at a great restaurant near where Geri lives.  We had a fabulous time and will most definitely get together again.  Now I just wish we could also include another friend, but she lives too far away in Illinois.

Poppy Fields Runner

I tested this pattern for Kathy, and as always it worked out great.  This pattern would be so easy to make as big as you want it as the motifs are join as you go.  I made mine to fit an antique stand that I have so it is small.

Knitting Needles

I finally got a picture of the knitting needles, my friend Virginia sent me.  Her dear hubby made them.  The are so nice and the yarn slides so easily on them.  I must admit they are so so much better than the aluminum needles I usually use.  Thanks ever so much to my very dear friends for their thoughtfulness.

Pebbles Hat and Scarf

This set was made for my hubby’s aunt.  It took 5 balls of Patons Pebbles yarn in Moon Stone.

Briar Rose Pincushion

I just tested this pattern for designer Kathryn A White.  I think they are very pretty, and the pattern is very easy to understand.  To see more of her great designs visit her web at www.crochetnbeads.com.
